Ja corresponde a sí contestando afirmativamente a preguntas no negativas (1), (2).
Doch corresponde a sí contestando afirmativamente a preguntas negativas (3), (4).
Ja corresponds to yes answering yes to non-negative questions (1), (2).
Doch corresponds to yes answering yes to negative questions (3), (4).
Beispiel:
(1)Kommen Sie?Ja,ich komme.
(2)Haben Sie ein Auto?Ja,ich habe eins.
(3)Kommen Sie nicht?Doch,ich komme.
(4)Haben Sie kein Auto?Doch,ich habe eins.
Nein corresponde a preguntas negativas y no negativas, contestando negativamente.
Nein corresponds to negative and non-negative questions, answering negatively.
Beispiel:
(5)Kommen Sie?Nein,ich komme nicht.
(6)Haben Sie ein Auto?Nein,ich habe keins.
(7)Kommen Sie nicht?Nein,ich komme nicht.
(8)Haben Sie kein Auto?Nein,ich habe keins.
